Challenge: Diane Rosenstein runs one of Los Angeles' premiere retail establishments for mid-century modern antiques. She needed a web site where her national customer base could access her full inventory, see prices and other details, and submit orders. Since she trades in design, the aesthetics of the site were of the utmost importance.

Solution: We went through a number of design iterations, all within a fairly narrow scope. We knew that the site had a have a particular look and feel that would compliment the items she was selling. Working closely with Diane, we designed a site that echoed the bold, clean lines of the mid-century era, while being sophisticated enough in its content to allow a consumer to drill down to very granular levels of detail about specific items.

The site allows a visitor to see actual inventory from the very top level, which was important in assuring that the site served as a virtual showroom. We further divided the inventory into sub-categories in order to facilitate browsing by the customer. The final result was a site that used the conveniences of the 21st century to sell antiques from the the 20th century.
