A native Angeleno, Jamie's background combines design and fine art. After graduating from the College of Creative Studies at UCSB, he began his design career in the world of fine printing. Jamie worked on fine print book projects for artists Harry Sternberg, Manuel Neri, and Anne Hamilton. He moved to San Francisco in 1993 to continue printmaking, and it was there he got involved in digital design. While continuing to make art and become involved in San Francisco's bourgeoning underground art scene, he served as Art Director for Slap Magazine, a then young and emerging print monthly chronicling the sub-culture of urban skateboarding. He also worked as an illustrator at Ziff-Davis' Computer Life magazine, and as an independent design consultant working on initiatives for PacifiCare, Wells Fargo, Microsoft, Cisco, and Union Bank. Jamie has Art Directed music projects for some of California's leading independent record labels, including Ubiquity Records, where he produced album artwork and collateral for jungle DJ Badmarsh and trip hop act Molasses, Nitro Records where he continues to Art Direct WARP Tour favorites AFI's projects as well as others, and Adeline Records where he worked with Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day on his side project, Pinhead Gunpowder.

In 1998 Jamie was recruited and brought back to Los Angeles by the Digital Entertainment Network (DEN), a frontrunner in online video, to concept and implement visual identities for their episodic, streaming-video shows. While designing the destination sites for these shows, he also created original games and cartoons to compliment the video components. He left DEN to work at the newly launched iFuse, an online magazine targeting GenY, where he helped design and launch their all-Flash interface and develop identities for the magazine's different sections.

In 2000, Jamie was hired by The Content Project to lead the Creative Department. While serving as the Creative Director, he oversaw an internal re-branding and the creation of corporate sites, extranets, and intranets for a diverse client base which included Fox Family, Turner, Guthy-Renker, Paul Mitchell, ACNielsen, BigBand Networks, New Line Cinema, and Reliance Steel.

Jamie left The Content Project in December of 2001 to consult full time, joining 3jane Interactive in order to spearhead the company's transition to a full service agency, offering both on and offline design work, and creative applications of cutting edge technology.

Since the middle of 2002, Jamie has also worked for Deutsch Los Angeles, working on branding campaigns for their clients Coors Light, Burger King, Mitsubishi, Directv, and J.D. Edwards.

Jamie specializes in developing an integrated brand presence for recognized industry leaders and emerging companies alike.

Jamie continues to do fine art and occasionally shows his paintings.
